Join us this March for yet another unique De Soto National Forest project! St. Paul cemetery was used by area locals until 1972, when it began to be slowly abandoned en lieu of a new cemetery closer to their church. After it was no longer in use, decades of bushes and small trees have taken over the original cemetery, obscuring the grave markers, and it's time to clean it up! During this PIT project, volunteers will help clear the brush from inside the boundaries of the cemetery, and will help clean the faces of grave markers to make them clearer to read. We hope to see you on the De Soto this spring!
Please note: Strict COVID-19 protocols will be followed, including the wearing of masks.
